Here are the chinchillas (chins). We got the pair in July 1999, when I saw them and had to have them; one because I had always wanted one and the pet store had a great deal for the pair and their living quarters. I'm always being asked what they look like when I talk about them and my desription is always that they look like a mix between a rabbit and a squirrel. Here is a picture and I think you'll agree with my description. Chins are a unique animal in the sense that their bodies consist of mostly cartilidge so they are very fragile.
